Monet Carroll Our Drama Club, here at Jeffersontown High School, performed the Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club is about five high school students, Andrew Clark (Dylan Williams), John Bender (Dustin Gibson), Allison Reynolds (Mary Taylor and Savannah Everett), Brian Johnson (Thomas Farless), and Claire Standish (Rebecca Laird), who meet in detention one day. The principal, played by Kenneth Brown, wants them to write an essay, and they think they’re in for a boring 8 hours. At first, they argue and fight, but after smoking some marijuana they pour their hearts out to each other. They discuss their fears, their secrets, their emotions, and their problems. The play was March 31st , April 1st, and, April 2nd. After performing another great play, A Raisin in the Sun last year, after a few years of not performing any plays. The Drama club has stepped up with a great, new appearance. They worked very hard to perform this play with Ms. Bowen’s guidance. Great job to the drama club, you guys did an excellent job!
