Karissa Hunt Congratulations to J-town’s Future Problem Solving Team for placing 3rd in District Governor's Cup and 2nd in Regional Governor's Cup. This is J-town’s first year having a Future Problem Solving Team and Mrs. Mulder’s first time sponsoring. The Problem Solvers are met with an issue, like natural disasters or disappearing languages, and are expected to come up with a solution and action plan in a two hour time span. It is a very particular and long process. They have to think up 16 challenges and 16 possible solutions before picking the best one and making a plan. Janae Boyd, Andrew Puckett, Alex Beebe, and Melanie Brown competed in Districts and Andrensia Flowers contributed by putting together a presentation for the team. “Four very different students came together to make tinfoil beards and stupid skits while eating oranges,” says a source who wishes to remain anonymous. J-town was only beat by St. X and Mercy who have been competing for many years. Overall, we are quite proud of our thinking Chargers!
